As we approach the end of March it's time to prepare for the next race on April 8th. The engine has been taken out and stripped down.

Engine case is good except main bearings having pounded their seats. Align boring is needed. Transmission view shows oil leak from flywheel seal.

Heads will be flycut to increase compression. Rules allow minimum chamber size of 44cc. Pistons and cylinders seem to have been changed fairly recently and are in good shape as was suggested by a decent compression test on all cylinders.

Update Saturday March 24th.Some of the machine work. Flywheel lightened to 12 pounds and 8 dowelled. Cam gear with oil relief grooves. Head flycut to 44cc chambers.

Race day. Oil filter mounting and line up for first race. Notice me in my rightful pole position (I drew the lowest card!)

Couple of pics on the main straight (straightaway), even had time to wave! (Mmm... maybe I shouldn't have time to wave?)

I finished 8th out of 10, a positional disappointment but much improved performance-wise. I think I was lapped by 2 fast guys in 2 races out of 3 which is a big improvement, believe me!
